The husband and I watch the old X-Files series on DVD all the time—it’s kind of our fall-back when there’s nothing else good on TV. Have to say, I think it’s one of my favorite shows ever. And though I know a lot of people didn’t like this last movie, I sort of loved it. Big, nasty Mulder beard and all. I especially liked how they still called each other by their last names even though THEY’RE TOTALLY DOING IT.**
** This is what I yell out whenever there is a ~sexual tension~ moment between them on the TV show. You can imagine how much my head exploded when I saw the movie and they were ACTUALLY totally doing it.
/needs to get out more.

“Home” is one of my top five favorite songs of all time. But boooooo to YouTube for not having the official video.
Now, I like Will Smith well enough. I’ll see a movie just because he’s in it. Hancock? Love it. I Am Legend? Awesome. Men in Black? I’ll watch it every time I catch it on TV. And for real, Seven Pounds was fucking genius. He had that dead-eye, thousand-yard, depressed-beyond-hope stare down.
His wife? Not sure I’ve seen her in anything. Oh, wait—The Matrix 2. Which was boring as hell, but that wasn’t her fault.
But this? No. Just…no. At least they’re saying Jada might play Stella, not Blanche, which would probably make flames shoot out of my eyeballs.
I mean, I got nothing against the Smith family (well, except that whole Karate Kid thing). But you don’t mess with this, folks. You just don’t.

I just found out about the show today. I am…so excited I’m speechless. I’ve been a fan for…oh boy, about 23 years, and never seen them live. This is the first song of theirs I heard, in 1987. Still one of my favorites.
So. Excited. Did I mention that?
