Welcome me to the 21st century.
I’ve had a blog from way back before they were even called blogs—my first one, I think, was in 1996 or so. There were no automated blogging tools (that I knew of) back then, so I just did all the html myself, posted writing and pictures and links and whatnot. In 2002, I finally migrated to Blogger, where I continued much of the same without the html hassle. Basically, I was doing what you can do on tumblr before tumblr existed (again, as far as I know). I wrote stuff, sure, but also posted a lot of things I found on the Web—I remember a phase wherein I posted pictures of the stars of Lord of the Rings wearing kilts (there are more of them than you’d think), another where I was obsessed with making stencil templates and posting them. I’ve posted videos, audio, everything. And now, here I am. Finally, the Internet and I have caught up with each other.
